Global Business Inroads in collaboration with the Embassy of Lithuania to India has launched a program: “The Lithuania- India Start-up and SME Helpdesk” focused on internationalization.

Lithuania and India Start-ups and SMEs can register on the Global Tech Interface (GTI) to leverage the Helpdesk and apply for the Lithuania India Helpdesk Innovation Call here for Hands-on Support for Internationalization. Applicants will need to fill in the attached questionnaire to provide details about the company and the technology or service.

Lithuania-India’s Helpdesk’s key objective is to support SMEs/start-ups from Lithuania and India access to the Indian and Lithuanian markets respectively. GBI aims to connect start-ups from Lithuania and India and provide continuous and consistent support to SMEs/start-ups for internationalization. The Help Desk aims to become a one-stop centre for all inquiries in the context of expanding the SMEs/start-up in Lithuania or India.  Our experts will guide start-ups with valuable information and relevant networking opportunities. Through the helpdesk, the companies can connect to potential partners for collaborations and new business opportunities. This service is free of charge to Lithuanian and Indian start-ups to make generic and hands-on inquiries about the target markets.

This webinar will focus on showcasing two Belgian companies, Umicore and Solvay, that can provide solutions to support the targets of the National Hydrogen Energy Mission (NHEM).  National Hydrogen Energy Mission (NHEM), aims to aid the government of India in meeting its climate targets and making India a green hydrogen hub. This will help in meeting the target of production of 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030 and the related development of renewable energy capacity.

The European Union Delegation to India has launched a campaign called  Biodiversity means LIFE, with an aim to address the adaptation, promotion and enforcement of greener corporate and public policies, technology, innovation, and models at the national, state and city levels. As the closing event of the campaign, EUDEL with Global Business Inroads (GBI) is organizing a full-day online event,  “Biodiversity means Business II: Greener EU-India Supply Chains & Technologies” on June 2nd, 2022. The event will wrap up the campaign, and inputs from experts and practitioners will be provided, collected, analysed and summarised in a final end-of-campaign report which will be ready before the CBD COP15 in 2022 Q3.

The objective of the Biodiversity means Business II: Greener EU-India Supply Chains & Technologies program would be:

a) To assess and explore possible EU-India supply chains trade and economic sectors that could illustrate the socio-economic and biodiversity potential of conservation and restoration in business practices in India.
b) To identify and encourage possible improvements in the regulatory or business environment in India or the EU,
c) To align policies and stakeholders to help them understand, measure and achieve aspirational  Global Biodiversity Framework targets.


We are inviting all public and private stakeholders, corporates, NGOs, technologies, and financing institutions involved with biodiversity conservation to know more about greener EU-India supply chains & technologies and get an opportunity to learn about the challenges and opportunities in biodiversity conservation.  Please find attached the concept note for more information.

This campaign is being facilitated by Global Business Inroads (GBI)


As a part of the campaign, we are launching a call for technologies and innovations with a direct impact on biodiversity. The scope of technologies will encompass all the elements of the (draft) Global Biodiversity Framework but with a specific focus on 4 Aspects of biodiversity conservation restoration in India & EU: 

1.  Terrestrial Landscape Conservation & Sustainable Agriculture: Water management, integrated soil fertility management, agroforestry, agritech, crop management etc

2.     Marine/Coastal & River Ecosystems: species management, river/ocean image analysis, coral reef monitoring, remote sensing, ocean / river clean up, waste management, recycling etc

3.     Wildlife and habitat protection: Satellite imaging and assisted breeding technologies, wildlife identification and monitoring, Bio-logging and bio-telemetry, drone technologies, tagging solutions etc

4.     Wetlands: wetland monitoring, drainage monitoring technology, mangrove protection, sanitation technology etc


We are also organising a B2B session for shortlisted stakeholders, which will bring together EU and Indian tech companies, adopters (public or private) and financing organisations for collaboration. We will also be showcasing 50 technologies and business models for biodiversity actions in India with various stakeholders from the public and private sectors.

Global Business Inroads (GBI) is collaborating with the Indian Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MeitY) - Govt of India and the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) to launch the India - Africa Digital Cooperation Platform to facilitate a Virtual Business (B2B) Matchmaking Session – with an objective to facilitate business collaborations between Indian digital companies and African companies (corporates, SMEs, startups) seeking digital technologies, products, services and offshore/joint development opportunities from leading Indian Digital / IT companies.


The initiative will bring together African companies looking for digital solutions with Indian software solutions providers through a series of India-Africa B2B networking events in 2022-23 in both virtual and physical formats. The first leg of the B2B event is scheduled on the 20th and 21st of July.
